Life Is good, indeed, God has been faithful. Met Davies on Facebook, we casually chat, but it was not until sometime in May or so that we became closer, then one day we discovered that we were cousins, distant cousins indeed... Reward is a nerd, a first class material, who hates politics but enjoy the things of God, most especially music, he has a sweet voice. Reward still recall the birthday song you did for me in your bathroom, lols....
Okay, Ladies and gentlemen, I give you our second reflector, a banker, a motivational blogger, a singer, a future Chelsea coach, a friend and my dear cousin, Reward Davies, for the second day of our #31Days31Reflections.
Hmmmm, 2013! Where do I start? Its been an absofreakinglutely smashing year for me, couldn't have asked for any better. I started the year as a corper but I'm finishing the year as a Banker (not sure I like the sound of that though).
Firstly, I'm thankful for the successful completion of my service year. It was really a fabulous experience. Really dunno where to start from. I kinda shaped and moulded me into the awesome bloke I've become today.
I'm thankful for the peeps I got to meet during the course of my service year at Ogbomoso, Oyo state. Especially friends like Laiyemo Olusola, Haastrup Steven and Nwabueze Amaka. NYSC wouldn't have made sense without them, trust me.
I'm also thankful for the privilege I got to serve in the stead of the NCCF cordinator of Orire sub-zone, Ogbomoso. I used be very scared of occupying leadership positions but this hepled me overcome such premature fears I had cos it opened me up to harnessing the leadership and management skills I needed in making my dreams my reality.
Lastly, I'm thankful that I didn't have to wait for ages after NYSC to secure a job. I'm grateful that my time and effort spent during NYSC all in the name of "building capacity" wasn't in vain. Here's praying that He who began this good work in me in 2013 will be faithful to complete it in me come 2014.
Cheers!!!
