finally....Walking on this muddy ground, I write my reflections, though am in tears, yet I walk with no fears, despite the level of evil, I still stand strong, yes am still human and not a frog. Please don't mind my flow of lyrics, I just love writings that sticks. Indeed, I hope that this reflection of mine will ruminant in your heart and even be more sweeter than bile.
I am Prince Chidozie Okechukwu Nwachukwu, as God's providence had dictated it, I am the editor in chief of this unique blog and I am the 31st reflector via this #31Days31Reflectors program. For the past 30 days great men and women have thrilled us all with their individual reflections through out the year 2013. Here is my reflections via 2013 below..
The night was very hot and lively, as the whole place was filled with rantings of "Happy New year", it was indeed a super new year, the sounds of knock-outs or Bangers as we fondly call them spread round the area. Resolutions and goals were slated out, and I was positive that the year would be way better than 2012, indeed it was, because in 2012 I was a graduate, but after 2013, I am now a "graduated graduate", lols..
My 2013 was beautiful, after the consumption of the "new year chicken', I headed back to my base at Efon-alaaye local government area of Ekiti state, where I served my Nation with all my strength. January ended with me settling down in my rented two rooms self-contain apartment. I was blessed by God with an understanding, cheerful and energetic room mate, ChukwuEmeka Elekwachi...
February, hmmmm, my month of plenty, its a super month for me, because it is the month of my origin, also, it is my mum's month, Mrs Adenusi and Adetola Adenusi's month too, the month is usually filled with celebrations. And I had my fair share of the celebrations at my base, a small party was organised to thank God, we danced, danced, danced and danced, wow, thanks to super pals like Beauty, Seun, Emma, Tayo, Segun, Goodness, Emeka, Ope(Oyibo), Chinaza, my Land lady(Mrs Orire), and the host of others, you guys were "Gbaski", "una too much"....
March, April and May, were some interesting months too, I was the Secretary/Media and Publicity director for Nigerian Corpers Fellowship(NCCF), "Cheer up brethren, the word works", yes indeed it works.. The Lord aided me through out my tenure, and from there I was selected to become the Editor-in-Chief for the general NYSC body in the area, adding to the portfolio later was the post of the President for the NYSC/EFCC integrity club, kai..what a year.... It was God through out oooo.....
I promised that I won't jam pack all that happened to me via 2013, but I will select the important ones, because if I should write in details, it would be way longer that the "Sogo's post". In 2013, I thank God for new friends I met, friends that will ever be part of my life, like forever self, powerful friends like Iloh Hope, may God continually bless you deary.... I won't forget to mention my footbal days in Efon, I thank God that I didn't break my legs or hands, though I had a slight dislocation, yet no major issues. I thank God for the ability to save, mehn, the money I saved via the past year saw me thru even till now, its best to save for the unknown days when you would be as broke as fighting for 10naira change from an Okada man...lols...
In all God as been very wonderful, I praise him for the helping me in discovering my talent of writing, I see my self going places... I thank God for the spirit of Adventure, cos I really explored Ekiti state, going from one tourist site to the other, even on bike, God stiil saw me through. Yes, I can tell you all that my PPA wasn't the best, we were giving nothing when we came, no accommodation, no mattress, no pillow, no payment, nothing..the only thing they gave us when finished our compulsory slavery and in-depth sufferings was a 700naira gift of love, lols, we kindly accepted it o, you know they say that "Half bread is better than chin chin"....
Aha..."E don do ooo", I have written too much already, please pardon me, I just enjoy writing... T thank God for great minds like You, who have supported me via this blog, I thank God for my family, most especially my parents, they are indeed a gift to me. I praise God for safe trips, "na small thing remain I for join Association of Travelling Corpers", he is indeed worthy... Please join me in singing this song as I wrap up this wonderful program, that would be aired again, come 2015.. The song goes thus..."You are the Pillar that holds my life(2x), Master Jesus, You are the Pillar that holds my life, Master Jesus, You are the Pillar that holds my life"....
To all my sure guys, Kalu chukwuemeka, Olinks, Faith, MBJ, JR, Sogo, Seajohn, Kolade Dayo, Reward Davies, Rachael, the list is just endless, thanks thanks thanks....
To all those who shared their reflections, wow, silver or gold have I none, but I pray that my God will surprise you all...
To all those who have added colour to my world, thanks o, "you guys are too much", God bless.
Lessons I learnt include- trust, obey, never depend on others, to be heartbroken is ever eminent, life goes on, "if you can't eat koli koli, try groundnut", never ever give up, "life is easy, stop making it hard", "with God all things are possible", yet there is time for everything. You cannot change anybody, until you change yourself, yet you can't change everybody.. I learnt so much in 2013...
In 2014, I must improve on my writing skills, on my blog, on the heart to love more, on the heat to give me, improving on my christian life, starting my dream Job, focusing on my career, making my parents and siblings happy, smile more, trust less, complete my three books and most especially save more.. The future remains bright....
See you all by March for another project, #31Days31Epistles, meanwhile we will be introducing "Today in History", this program will elucidate events that occurred years ago on the present day, do join us, it will kick-off on February 1st,2013... Thank you for your patience...God bless you...
